It’s hard to believe it’s nearly a year since we teamed up with Gympanzees to become one of their Lending Library hubs – their very first one in fact!

We wanted to share a further update following our recent communications about some providers pausing to autism and ADHD assessments through the NHS Right to Choose (RTC) pathway.

Welcome back, and Happy New Year! It looks like 2026 is already shaping up to be a busy year for us. Here are just a few things coming up...

What is happening? 

The local NHS team for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (called the ICB) has asked some Right to Choose providers, including Clinical Partners and Paloma Health, to pause booking new assessments for children and young people. 

We are pleased to introduce the first two videos in our ‘Can’t, Not Won’t series, all about about Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), created by South Glos Parent Carers (SGPC) and South Glos Council’s Educational Psychology Service (EPS).

To help parent carers stay informed and feel confident navigating support, we regularly welcome organisations into the Community Base.

We're looking for someone passionate about supporting Early Years children with SEND and their families.

We know that navigating local health services for a child with SEND can be challenging. As a parent carer, you know better than anyone how important accessible, timely and compassionate healthcare is.

A day that brings together many health professionals who support our community, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and more.

Bookings are open for our workshops through till the end of March 2026. Check out the upcoming topics and book your spot.

From 18 November, our Community Base will be open for drop-in support sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm.
