Preparing For Adulthood Survey

Last year we asked you what key areas SGPC should prioritise for the coming year based on the issues and challenges you were facing. One of the key areas you asked us to focus on was preparing your young people for adulthood: Priorities Survey 2024

We have therefore created a Preparing for Adulthood survey, to help us understand more about the issues being faced by parent carers of teens and young adults, and to find out any concerns you may have with preparing your young people for adult life.

The survey will also gather your views on education, employment, training and other aspects of the move to adult services.

We know that this can be a complex time for families, as they navigate all the changes. This is your opportunity to tell us what is working and what isn't working for your child or young person or your family.

The survey is for all parent carers with a child aged 12+, We would like to hear from those who are just starting the preperation for adulthood journey and those who have recent experience (within the last 2 years) of transitions within education (including post 16 settings and transport), health (including the move to adult services) and social care (including the move to adult services)

The survey closes at midday on Thursday 1st May.

Your voice is so important - it can bring about change to local services which work for children and young people with SEND and their families.
