Our Surveys
HAVE YOUR SAY ON LOCAL SEND SERVICES
We want to hear your views and experiences…
At South Glos Parent Carers our aim is to elevate the voice of parent carers of children and young people with SEND. Driven by a desire to make a difference for every SEND family in South Gloucestershire, we work with service providers across the education, health and social care sectors to ensure that the challenges you face are heard and understood, so that positive changes can be made.
All our surveys are open to parent carers of children and young people between 0 to 25 years old with SEND (diagnosed or undiagnosed) who are being educated or receiving support and services in South Gloucestershire.
SEND Reform and Education survey
If your child has special educational needs or disabilities, you know better than anyone how important it is that change is carefully planned and managed.
To get a full and complete picture, the survey covers a range of aspects of education, health and social care services.
We want to make sure the voices of all SEND families are heard. This survey is for you if you have:
A young child in nursery or preschool
A young person who has left school
A child with SEND support or an EHCP
A child who is struggling to attend school
A child with complex needs or who is under the care of multiple services
Used post adoption support or social care services
We know your time is precious, but an investment in sharing your voice now will truly help us to represent our community and best serve you as we journey through education reforms.
With nationwide reforms of SEND support within education in development, it is important more than ever for us to understand how services are working right now.
Survey closes midnight Sunday 6th December 2026
If you have more than one child with SEND you can refresh the page to complete a separate survey for each child.
We really value your time in giving us your views and experiences and as a thank you parent carers who complete the survey can enter a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher (one entry available per family).

Priorities Survey
We know it’s hard to choose, but we'd love to know the top three priorities that matter to you and you think SGPC should focus on over the coming year. Your priorities will guide us in how we advocate effectively for our community.
We also want to know how we can most effectively support you through your journey as a parent carer. The answers you give us will help us secure vital grant funding that allows us to provide direct support for families.
This is a really quick survey, taking only 5-10 minutes to complete.
Survey Closes at midnight on Sunday 8th November.
Why do we run surveys?
Our surveys help us build a detailed picture of a particular topic, showing
Where a service or type of support is working well
Where there are services and support which are not working so well
Where there are gaps, highlighting children who are missing out as they fall between provision
Where things are changing, highlighting areas where support has improved and flagging up emerging issues
How things differ across our local area
We know family life is busy and adding in time to complete a survey isn’t easy, but your feedback is vital.
It's easy to think someone else will share the same story but your lived experience is so important. Your voice deserves to be heard. Help us make sure families shape the future of SEND support.
Our surveys help us get a detailed picture, topics are likely to include:
Education
SEND support & EHCPs
Support with healthcare
Preparing for adulthood

Shaping Change
Our parent voice team meet regularly with services across the Voluntary, Education, Health and Social Care sectors.
Our surveys help to raise the profile of challenges which families are experiencing and help to inform the focus of our project work with our strategic partners.
