Join us for the launch of a new series of video resources designed specifically for parent carers on Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Developed by the South Glos Educational Psychology team in collaboration with South Glos Parent Carers (SGPC)

In July 2025, the services across the areas of Education, Health and Social Care in South Gloucestershire were inspected by OFSTED and the CQC, with a focus on SEND provisions.  The inspection report has now been published.

Here at SGPC, we understand that being a parent carer can be both rewarding and incredibly challenging. There are days when everything feels manageable - and then there are times when it all becomes too much.

Having heard from parent carers, school staff and children in each of the participating schools, it’s time for a check in.

Earlier this year, we asked parent carers of teenagers and young adults (aged 12–25) to share their experiences by taking part in our Preparing for Adulthood survey.

The 3-week Area SEND inspection for South Gloucestershire Local Area Partnership which was carried out by Ofsted and the CQC has been completed.
