When things feel overwhelming, you’re not alone
Here at SGPC, we understand that being a parent carer can be both rewarding and incredibly challenging. There are days when everything feels manageable - and then there are times when it all becomes too much.
That’s why we offer a range of support options to help you feel less alone on your SEND journey. Our peer supporters are here to offer:
A listening ear from someone who understands
Practical strategies to try at home
Signposting to other services that may benefit you and your family
You can connect with us through our drop-in support sessions, workshops, or by email - whatever feels right for you.
However, there may be moments when things reach a crisis point, and you need to speak to someone immediately. Please don’t wait. The sooner you reach out, the sooner you can be helped.
To make sure support is always within reach, we’ve created a Crisis Lines Resource - a handy list of helplines and local services you can contact for immediate help.
We recommend bookmarking this resource so you can access it quickly in an emergency. Remember, no matter how tough things feel, there’s always someone you can talk to.
You are not alone - and help is always available.
