We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to join our rapidly growing organisation in the Community Support Team as a Lead Trainer.

On 28th April 2023, SGPC were asked to attend and provide feedback to the Department for Education, SEND (DfE) and NHS England officials, on 3 remaining areas of significant weakness following the South Gloucestershire Councils 2017 Ofsted Inspection.

Last October we sent the parent carers of our community a survey to complete about how their child’s needs are being met in school.

Today, the CEOs of ICB and Sirona Health and Care informed us that the autism assessment criteria will revert back to the process that was in place, before the changes that were announced on 1st March 2023.

On March 16th, we wrote to the ICB to express your concerns and share your feedback. We are now waiting for an official response from the ICB. Families passionately believe that needs-based support should not come at the expense of a referral and potential diagnoses for those that seek it.

Health services across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) have recently announced that they are implementing changes to the referral criteria for children and young people to obtain an Autism diagnosis. Sirona have provided information for those affected.
