We're Listening: Neurodiversity Pathway

Update Dec 2023

On Tuesday 28 November we held an online listening event for our parent carer community to give their views and experiences, with a focus on understanding and evidencing the current challenges faced by families.

It was a really helpful event in which we heard from families at all different stages of their journey and received invaluable information which will be fed back in the Neurodiversity Pathway Project in the hope of creating real and positive change for our SEND community.

Keep an eye on our website and social media for the latest news about this and further events for this project.

We have an exciting opportunity to develop the way South Gloucestershire support our children with neurodivergent needs such as Autism, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Tourette's, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia as part of our collaboration with the Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB)

The BNSSG ICB is currently undertaking a Neurodiversity Transformation project that will inform a future model to support children and young people with Neurodiverse needs. Incorporating the views and experience of children and young people, parent carers, and system partners is vital to the success of this project.

The Neurodiversity Transformation project group will host two events with wider stakeholders and the public, one in November and another early next year. In addition SGPC are hosting a listening event for parent carers on 28th November.

The focus of these first events will be on understanding and evidencing the current challenges faced by families. We're keen to hear experiences from families at all stages of their journey.

Join us online 28th November 10:30am- 12:30pm
