SEND and it’s impact
We hear from many parent carers in our community that the impact of SEND behaviour on family life is a real concern.
We ran a survey for parent carers earlier in the year to find out more, and this report details the quantitative and qualitative feedback received.
Our findings conclude that SEND has a significant impact on families, with 89% of respondents reporting that their child's needs affected their ability to do ordinary things together as a family and 95% reported feeling drained or exhausted.
This report also looks at challenging behaviours, school attendance, finances, challenges to day-to-day tasks, feelings of isolation and self-harm and eating disorders, with some quite startling results.
