Exciting News for our 18+ community.

South Gloucestershire Community Learning and Skills Service are launching a new employability programme called Skills Connect which will offer employment support across South Gloucester to anyone over 18 who is unemployed.

The aim of Skills Connect is to be a ‘one stop shop’ to access support for those who are 18+ and are unemployed or economically inactive. It encompasses organisations such as:  Futurebright, We Work For Everyone, Works 4 Youth etc.

The service is easy to access via their website: skillsconnect.org.uk. Once on the website you simply choose the employed or unemployed option, then enter some basic contact details and someone will contact you back to discuss things further. Crucially, this service will provide tailored support to each individual’s needs.

A major benefit of this service is that you can go straight to Skills Connect rather than having to search for provisions yourself, which is a huge help for parents and carers.

Details of upcoming events can be found at: https://www.skillsconnect.org.uk/events/
