SEN Support Survey 2021

Our SEN Support in Schools 2021 Survey has been published.

Thank you to the 243 families who completed the survey, it’s been a very challenging year so we appreciate you finding time to tell us about your experiences.

Comparing this years findings to the information shared in 2020

What’s Working Well:

  • Children making good or very good progress socially and emotionally increased from 34% to 41%

  • Children making good or very good progress accademically remained the same at 41%

  • Parent comments show that some educational settings are providing very good tailored support.

What’s Not Working Well:

  • Settings meeting a child’s needs all or most of the time decreased from 40% to 35%

  • Attendance difficulties due to emotional, social, mental health increased from 27% to 33%

  • Children disengaging from school increased from 21% to 25%
