Area SEND inspection for South Gloucestershire Local Area Partnership has begun
As the local parent carer forum for South Glos, we’ve been informed that the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will be inspecting the local SEND services across Education, Health and Social Care over the next few weeks.
The reason for this is to gather evidence about how effective the provision is for children and young people 0-25 years of age with SEND in the local area.

Share your views with the inspectors…
As part of the inspection, there is an opportunity for parent carers to share their views and feedback on local SEND services by completing a survey. This, along with other information, will help the inspectors to consider their "key lines of enquiry."
There are three surveys available:
One for parent carers - including an “Easy Read” version.
One for children and young people with SEND over the age of 11 years
One for practitioner working with children or young people with SEND in education, health or care services
Surveys are anonymous
You will only be asked to enter your postcode so that Ofsted and the CQC can ensure that the feedback they are receiving is for South Gloucestershire’s services and not another area.
Your feedback is so important! Within South Gloucestershire we have a large active community of SEND families. This is your opportunity to tell those inspecting our local area of any concerns or positive feedback that you may have.
Access the online survey
Access from your local library: South Gloucestershire Libraries welcome you to pop in and complete the online survey. Find details of your nearest library along with the opening hours here
