SEND Reforms and Education Survey

Parent carers – your voice is needed!

If your child has special educational needs or disabilities, you know better than anyone how important it is that change is carefully planned and managed. With nationwide reforms of SEND support within education in development, it is important more than ever for us to understand how services are working right now.

The SEND Reforms will bring changes to all aspects of Education, including for preschool age children and young people entering post 16 courses as well as elements of health and social care.

This is therefore a larger survey, making sure we can capture the all important details and you are able to share your experiences of services and tell us where you are seeing any gaps in provision.

Please complete a separate survey for each child you have with SEND needs, it may take up to an hour if you have a lot to say.

Survey Closes at midnight on Sunday 6th November.

Your time is precious, but an investment in sharing your voice now will truly help SGPC to represent local SEND families we journey through SEND reforms.

SGPC value your time in sharing your views and experiences and as a thank you, parent carers who complete the survey can enter a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher (one entry available per family).

South Glos Parent Carers (SGPC) are the local parent carer forum for parents and carers of children and young people (aged 0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities.

We support and represent all parent carers in our community, gathering views and experiences and feeding these back to service providers to help bring about positive change.

We are recognised by the Department for Education to work with service providers in South Glos (including the local authority, health and education services), enabling us to be your voice at the table when services are under review or being changed.

Your voice is so important – it can bring about change to local services which work for children and young people with SEND and their families.
